Te Urewera Treks runs 1 to 4 day guided walks in Te Urewera National Park and the Whirinaki Forest Park. This remote region is home to some of the world's most magnificent native beech and podocarp rainforest. It is also rich with native birds and has a colourful history.
Our experienced, local, Maori guides provide visitors with a unique insight into this beautiful and largely undiscovered wilderness region, and will share personal stories of its histories and mysteries.
Treks are with small groups and are fully catered with comfortable camp accommodation.
